Which version of FL Studio to buy ?

If you want to buy fl studio then you may be wondering which version of FL Studio I should buy? Let me clear this confusion for you. FL Studio is available in 4 different editions as mentioned below

But let me tell you in nut shell which version may be good for you without going into technical details.

1. Never buy the fruity edition of fl studio ($99) because it don't even has some basic features which are extremely important for music production.

2. If you are a beginner you can buy the producer edition ($199) any doubt, as the fl studio producer edition has all the required features and functionalities needed to produce high quality music. It also supports external plugins so you can also use your externally downloaded vst plugins with producer edition (If you don't know what vst plugins are then don't worry, we will cover it in future posts)

3. The only major difference between the producer edition ($199) and signature edition ($299) of fl studio are two plugins and those are pitcher and newtone. Both these plugins are useful for pitch correction. Pitcher is just like autotune and newtone is like melodyne for manual pitch correction. So if you want to record and process vocals too along with producing music then you may go with signature edition of fl studio. BTW there are a few free autotune plugins available in the market so if you don't need a manual pitch correction plugin like newtone then you can buy fl studio producer edition and can use free auto-pitch correction plugins with that.

4. All Plugin edition ($499), as mentioned in it's name that you will get each and every plugin of fl studio with this edition. If you have spare money you can buy this edition but in my opinion I don't see any reason of spending $200 extra and getting a few extra plugins which are rarely used by everyone. But there is a plugin which is awesome and which is only available with the all plugin edition and that is Harmor and Harmless. These are synthesiser plugins mainly used in edm production so if you are not going to buy nexus or serum then you can buy the all plugin edition and use the preloaded harmor for that.
